As your Representative, Michele will work to represent everyone, while selling out to no one.
A Kansas native, Michele is a Christian, wife, mother and grandmother. She cares deeply about the future of Kansas. She will fight to make Kansas a welcoming State, safe and healthy so everyone can grow and thrive.
Like most Kansans, Michele values hard work and learning. These values provided her opportunities in office management, business ownership, real estate, banking, and childcare.
As your Representative, she will listen to the people first, gather facts and then make decisions. Truth, facts and your experiences will guide her decisions, rather than political parties or donors.

Today's Concerns
Data Centers
No to Data Centers that use our resources and make us pay for it. The future is being built on AI. But at what cost? The energy and water they require create a serious challenge to our future. How do we protect clean water for Kansans? How will big tech guarantee affordable energy for every Kansan into the future? We need to stop and create sustainability regulations before one more data center is built in Kansas.
Public Education
The Kansas legislature, including Mike King, have funneled public dollars into private schools. This forces rural and small town Kansans to pay for private schools that aren't even available in their communities. Children are the future of Kansas, let's prioritize them, all of them.
Personal Home Property Taxes
Our "Representatives" have promised us over and over that they would address our ever increasing personal property taxes. Once again they failed us. Working families, and retired homeowners on fixed incomes alike are finding homeownership in Kansas less affordable every year. I promise to work toward a solution.
Issues and Solutions
Affordability
Healthcare, childcare, housing costs and property taxes have become unaffordable for many hardworking and retired Kansans. We must find solutions so every one in Kansas can flourish. I promise to seek creative, honest solutions to these challenges.
Taxation and a Living Wage
Remember when working a full-time job meant you could provide for your family? For too long corporations and the wealthy have received tax breaks on the backs of Kansan families. The minimum wage has not changed in 16 years, while the cost of living has increased 50% . Kansans deserve fair wages.
Family Farms
At the very foundation of the Kansas economy for generations has been the family farm. Agribusiness monopolies, tariffs, and wars are driving farmers out of business. When that happens, we all pay the price. The struggles of the family farm are not a mystery, they are the result of policy choices. The right policy choices can make family farms thrive again.
Caring for Our Land
Clean air, clean water, and viable soil are all paramount to our existence. Sensible legislation and support of renewable energy can protect the bountiful land of Kansas.
